Highlights

The Financial Secretary just released 2023/24 budget of HKSAR and certain measures which may affect the practitioners arrangement in the accountancy and related profession. In addition, the pace of digitalization is expected to speed up by various Government departments, such as the e-platform to be launched by IRD in new year of assessment and upcoming revamping by other departments. Practitioners are encouraged to familiar with those new projects in order to have a better equipped for implementation preparation. The speaker will share his views and updates on those aspects in the webinar.

Mr. Webster Ng, JP

Being the proprietor and founder of Webster Ng & Co. and Managing Director of AC CPA Limited, Mr. Ng is a fellow Certified Public Accountant (Practising) and Chartered Tax Adviser and currently be Independent Non-Executive Director of 2 listed companies in Hong Kong. Mr. Ng is the Sixth Election Committee (Accountancy) member (2021-2025), Advisory Committee Member of Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC), Vice-President of The Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors (SCAA), Immediate Past President of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK), President of Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians Limited (HKIAAT) and Director of Accountancy Caring Alliance Limited (ACA). Mr. Ng is member of Taxation Policy Committee of TIHK and has been awarded as Honorary Council member of the China Certified Tax Agents Association (CCTAA), Research Committee Member of China International Taxation Research Institute (CITRI) and Accounting Consultant of Department of Finance of Guangdong Province.

Mr. Ng served in various positions in accountancy sectors since 2012 including committee member of Examinations and Accreditation Committee of HKIAAT; CPA Qualifying Process Reform Working Group, Accountancy Manpower Research Advisory Group and Practice Review Committee of HKICPA, and currently as member of Small and Medium Practices Committee of HKICPA and SME committee member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), as well as member of Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, Medecins Sans Frontieres (HK) Limited.
