At this webinar, Edward Au, Deloitte China Southern region managing partner, will provide an overview of the latest developments in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong capital markets and regulatory landscapes.

Edward’s review will cover the performance of global, Chinese Mainland, and Hong Kong capital markets in 2021 and the outlook for the latter two markets in 2022.

He will also discuss how the latest events in regulation, the macro economy, and geopolitics have shaped listing trends in Mainland and Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO) markets.

Edward's insights will help companies prioritize their medium- and long-term plans for business development in 2022 and beyond.

Mr. Edward Au, Southern Region Managing Partner, Deloitte China 

Edward Au is Deloitte China Southern Region managing partner. He is responsible for Deloitte China's offices in Southern China, which encompasses Hong Kong SAR, Changsha, Guangzhou, Hainan, Macau SAR, Shenzhen, and Xiamen, with a focus on developing Deloitte’s practice in the Greater Bay Area. He drives practice transformation, fosters talent development, and advances the Firm’s presence across the region.

Edward was co-leader of the Firm’s National Public Offering Group. He is a Deloitte China spokesperson on IPOs and a frequent speaker at external seminars.

He is vice president of the council and an ex-officio member of the executive council of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is chair of the Corporate Finance Advisory Panel and sits on its Registration and Practising committee.

Furthermore, Edward is a Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong and the United States, a chartered Global Management Accountant, a Certified Practicing Accountant of CPA Australia, and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Edward also contributes to organizations and the community in Hong Kong through his service as a member of the Policy Research Committee of the Financial Services Development Council, a member of the Audit & Risk Committee of Hong Kong Red Cross, and a council member of the Hong Kong Association of Registered Public Interest Entity Auditors  He is also a member of the Professional Development Committee of the Accounting Development Foundation, the Programme Advisory Board of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Accounting and Finance course at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Advisory Committee, Division of Business and Management, at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College.
