Webinar: Dealing with an Unexpected Special Investigation
Event Code : 20210518

Highlights

No company ever plans to be under attack from third parties for alleged corporate malfeasance or missteps in compliance. However, an increasing number of companies in Hong Kong have fallen victim to accusations such as fraud, mismanagement, or breach of disclosure or other regulatory requirements by short sellers, activist shareholders and securities regulators.  Under these situations, a company’s Board of Directors are often required to conduct an independent investigation to identify and address any underlying issues discovered in order to move forward as a business.

In this session, experts from FTI Consulting will share their experience and insights regarding what Hong Kong and foreign based companies can do to deal with unexpected special investigations. In addition, they will provide practical advice on how to conduct an effective investigation, implement remediation and conduct improvement plans, execute reputation management or crisis communication strategies and protect companies against litigation and reputation risk.
