Highlights

The new tax year is about to start following last year epidemic.  Over the new normal, some tax measures are launched based on existing mechanism while tax landscape changed on the new concepts or models introduced such as BEPS 2.0, digital economy, electronic commerce and digital assets, etc.

Accountants or tax practitioners are encouraged to have a forward looking on those areas developed and keep track on the proposed amendments so as to meet the rapid change over tax world.  The speaker will share some updates over the above topics and their relevant impact in the webinar.

Mr. Webster NG

Being the proprietor and founder of Webster Ng & Co., Mr. Ng is a fellow Certified Public Accountant (Practising).  He is currently the President of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) and Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians Limited (HKIAAT), Honoary Treasurer of The Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors (SCAA) and Director of Accountancy Caring Alliance Limited.  Mr. Ng is member of Taxation Policy Committee of TIHK and has been awarded as Honorary Council member of the China Certified Tax Agents Association (CCTAA), Research committee member of China International Taxation Research Institute (CITRI) and Accounting Consultant of Department of Finance of Guangdong Province.

Mr. Ng served in various accountancy sectors including committee member of Examinations and Accreditation Committee of HKIAAT, CPA Qualifying Process Reform Working Group, Accountancy Manpower Research Advisory Panel, Small and Medium Practitioners Committee, Practice Review Committee and Qualification Oversight Board Ex-officio member of HKICPA, as well as SME committee member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Finance, Audit and Risk committee member of Medecins Sans Frontieres Hong Kong.  In addition, Mr. Ng also served as member of Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee and Lump Sum Grant Steering Committee, ICAC CACCR Non-official Member.  He was commended as Distinguished Service for Community Building Awardee in 2018.

Mr. Ng holds the fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK).  He is also the ordinary member of The Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors (SCAA) and The Association of Hong Kong Professionals.  In addition, Mr. Ng is the Founding member of Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association (HKPASEA).
