Invasion of privacy may cause serious harm to the individuals affected. Faced with rapid technological changes and business innovation, data subjects (for example, clients, stakeholders, staffs, etc. who are subjects of data) often raise much concern about how their privacy information being gathered, used and managed in the workspace.

In this seminar, the speaker will share insight on background of data protection law, the latest development of privacy issues and some good practice on privacy protection in workspace.

Ms. Emily Ho has over 15 years of experience in providing auditing and compliance services to banking sectors, listed companies and multinational corporations. She was amply engaged in various reviewing and control-related roles in Hong Kong's three note-issuing banks.

Ms. Ho served as a guest speaker in forums, seminars and radio programmes for Accountancy Body, as well as a columnist for newspapers.

Ms. Ho was designated as Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FCPA), Chartered Accountant (ACA) at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). She was also elected as Certified AML Professional (CAMLP) of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) and enrolled as a member of “Data Protection Officers’ Club”.
