SCAA x ADF Webinar: CPA’s Roles in Catering Business (Social Distancing) Subsidy Scheme – Supported by ACA and ADF

Highlights

The Catering Business (Social Distancing) Subsidy Scheme under the Anti-epidemic Fund has been opened for applications by eligible food licence holders for a grant of one-off subsidy until 5 June 2020.  To support the application, a certificate of the total amount of staff salaries and the total number of staffs for the month of March 2020 issued by a CPA must be attached to the application.  Moreover, a certificate issued by a CPA certifying the total staff salaries paid and total number of salaried staff working each of the month in the period from May to October 2020 (totally 6 certificates) must also be subsequently submitted.

The seminar is to share CPA’s roles in Catering Business (Social Distancing) Subsidy Scheme. Topics to be shared include:-

  • Introduction of Catering Business (Social Distancing) Subsidy Scheme
  • Roles and potential risks of CPA (Practising) in the Catering Business (Social Distancing) Subsidy Scheme
  • Relevant requirements under HKSQC 1 and HKSRS 4400
  • Relevant requirements under “Circular on Reporting under the Catering Business (Social Distancing) Subsidy Scheme” recently issued by the HKICPA
  • Relevant and additional procedures to be performed on the engagement
  • Common issues and cases, illustrated by:-
    • Sample engagement letter,
    • Sample representation letter
  • Sample engagement procedures
