About the Speakers: Miss Jennifer CHEUNG, Executive Director, Hong Kong Conglomerates & Large Local Corporates Deputy Head, Institutional Banking Group, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited Jennifer started her career as a professional accountant with international accounting firms first in London, then Hong Kong and Mainland China. She subsequently joined the banking industry over 10 years ago with HSBC. She recently joined DBS in July 2017 and continues to work as a senior corporate and investment coverage banker looking after some of the largest listed corporates in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in providing solutions in credit & lending, debt capital markets, leveraged and acquisition finance, equity capital markets, project and export finance, treasury, trade finance and cash management. Jennifer has served as Council Member of HKICPA since 2013 and had previously served as Chairperson of Young Members Committee from 2015 to 2016. She currently serves on various committees of HKICPA including Deputy Chairmen of Professional Accountants in Business Committee and Corporate Finance Advisory Panel as well as Chairman of Mentorship Programme Advisory Working Group. She is also Council and Court Member of Lingnan University since 2015. She holds a BSc(Econ) from the London School of Economics. Mr Alexander LAU,Executive Director, Institutional Banking Group, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited Alex has 20 years of extensive experience in the IT and banking industry, focusing on e-channel development, digital innovation and marketing analytics. He is now the Head of Innovation & Strategy of Institutional Banking Group at DBS Bank. Alex graduated from the Computer Science Department of Stanford University with two degrees (BS ’96 with distinction, MS ’97). Upon graduation, he worked for Oracle Inc. and PeopleSoft Inc. in Silicon Valley before returning to Hong Kong to head the Strategic Planning and E-banking of Dah Sing Bank. In his latest capacity, Alex is driving the digital innovations in DBS SME banking, and has captured 8 digital awards for the bank since 2015.
