In this seminar, the speaker will highlight the key issues relating to insider dealing, including the definition of “insider dealing”, the situations in which persons will not be held as insider dealers and the authority of the Market Misconduct Tribunal. About the speaker: Before setting up Cheung & Choy near the end of 2001, Mr Cheung gained substantial experience from the Hong Kong offices of two leading City of London law firms for a number of years. The clients Mr Cheung served included certain major household names and a number of companies whose shares are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and also other prominent local non-listed companies. The current practice of Mr Cheung covers advising Hong Kong and PRC companies on corporate commercial deals including IPOs, Mergers and Acquisitions and corporate compliance matters of listed companies. Mr Cheung is also advising both overseas and local companies on their applications for listing their shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
