姚宇樑博士

Dr. Gary Yiu
Executive Committee, Cybersecurity Specialist Group, Hong Kong Computer Society

姚宇樑博士擁有超過20年專業經驗，曾擔任中銀香港電腦審計處長，以及香港銀行同業結算有限公司（HKICL）風險主管，負責監督香港金融基礎設施（包括實時全額結算系統RTGS及轉數快FPS）的風險管理。 

姚博士在網絡安全領域貢獻卓越，於2021年榮獲由香港警務處、政府電腦保安事故協調中心（GovCERT.HK）及香港電腦保安事故協調中心（HKCERT）聯合頒發的 「網絡安全專業人員獎（管理組別）金獎」。 

2023年12月，他與金管局及警務處合作推出 「轉數快可疑識別代號警示」（FPS Scameter Alert） 系統，在可疑轉數交易前向付款人發出警示，獲得確切成效，其後更推廣至銀行自動櫃員機及分行櫃檯交易。該項目榮獲 2024年香港資訊及通訊科技獎（金融科技：監管科技及風險管理）銅獎，以表揚將科技轉化為普惠公眾防罪工具的成效。

Dr. Gary Yiu has over 20 years of professional experience. He previously served as Head of IT Audit at Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Head of Risk at Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited (HKICL), where he was responsible for overseeing the risk management of Hong Kong's financial infrastructure, including the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system and the Faster Payment System (FPS).

Dr. Yiu has made outstanding contributions to the field of cybersecurity. In 2021, he was awarded the Gold Award in the Cyber Security Professionals Award (Management Category) , jointly presented by the Hong Kong Police Force, the Government Computer Emergency Response Team Hong Kong (GovCERT.HK), and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT).

In December 2023, he collaborated with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Police Force to launch the FPS Scameter Alert system, which issues warnings to payers before suspicious FPS transactions are completed, achieving tangible results. The system was subsequently extended to bank ATMs and branch counter transactions. This project received the Bronze Award at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2024 (FinTech – RegTech and Risk Management), in recognition of its effectiveness in transforming technology into a crime-fighting tool accessible to the public.
